The application of magnetic sensor in auto motors

The application of magnetic sensors in the auto motors can be reflected in the automotive electric window controls.It can determine the times of shaft rotation and if the axis can be reversed. It can also detect if the process of shaft rotation can be reversed when it encounter object, in case of gripping them.

The motor rotation direction in the reverse process is controlled by magnetic sentor. The magnetic sensor is called Hall sensor. The Hall sensors are widely used and maily for brushless motor, Gauss Meter,proximity switches, micro-displacement measurement,and so on. Its most advantage feature is non-contact measurement. For the techometer motors in advanced auto¡¯s rotation speed meter, it needs Hall sensor and anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) sensors. When three-phase motors change direction, the Hall sensor can measure and adjust it in order to reduce noise and improve efficiency. Finally the advanced autos can be drived with quiet and smooth process.

The process of Hall sensor control automotive electric window is as following. At the moment of electric window rise, the Hall sensor will detect the rotate speed of motor. If the motor lower the speed, the seneor will detect the changes of rotate speed, and report to ECU, the ECU will issue commands to relay. The circuit will reverse current to stop motor or reverse motor(drop). Thus the window will stop moving or drop, and reach the anti-grip function.
